A "retired artist", can we ever retire? I have taken up retirement in beautiful South Carolina where I am finding art everywhere out side my window.

I worked in silver and found objects and my soul is still there in my work. Phyllis Hughes

Retired, you are absolutely correct.....I have left instructions with my family to put a pencil in my hand when my time comes. Keep making art girl!

I sure relate to your feelings. I may dread going to events, but almost always am glad I did. I'm not just looking at the artwork in the Indiana Waterways book, I'm reading and learning.

We hoped some people would read the words, LOL. Yes, I've been to some shows by organizations with 30 artists and the corner's of rooms become my best friend at times.
